East Texas Center
for Independent Living
ETCIL provides training, resources and information toward promoting independent living for persons with significant disabilities and their families in communities throughout Northeast Texas.
Ways to Support Us
We help people with disabilities
achieve greater independence.
ETCIL’s mission is to help people with disabilities achieve greater independence, self-sufficiency, and full participation in their communities. Living independently is living much like everyone else – having the same opportunities to succeed, to fail, to make decisions, to pursue enjoyment, to learn, and to experience life.
We’re here to help
every step of the way.
Independent Skills Training
ETCIL provides individualized life skills training for persons with disabilities who lack certain skills and desire to gain a particular skill in order to be more independent.
Sometimes a person’s ability to maintain an independent living arrangement is threatened by their inability to manage their finances, such as Social Security benefits
A benefits program for people with disabilities requesting assistance in managing their finances. Learn from other’s who have gone through our program.
